Chris Sutton names what has made the difference at Leeds United in recent weeks ahead of Brentford clash

Leeds United are set to travel to Brentford on Sunday, with Chris Sutton highlighting Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s recent form ahead of the clash.

It has been a remarkable turnaround for Daniel Farke’s men, who were on a dreadful run of form before the start of last week.

Farke’s sacking at Elland Road appeared to be inevitable until they picked up four points from their last two outings.

Now, with Brentford up next, Leeds will see this as another opportunity to pull clear of the relegation zone, with Calvert-Lewin no doubt on the hunt to be back among the goals.

Chris Sutton: Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goals the difference for Leeds

Calvert-Lewin has been excellent for Leeds in recent matches.

The former Everton striker has now scored in his last three appearances, netting vital goals against both Chelsea and Liverpool.

This has been a remarkable turnaround for the attacker, with Calvert-Lewin previously been slammed for his Leeds displays.

Now, going into the match, the former England international is on the hunt to him the net for a fourth consecutive match.

Ahead of the tie, Sutton heaped praise on Calvert-Lewin, despite predicting a defeat for the visitors.

In one section of his prediction, he wrote on BBC Sport on 11 December: “Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goals have made the difference, and they will go into this game full of belief, and thinking they have got a real chance.”

How good has Calvert-Lewin been in recent matches?

According to Fotmob on 12 December, the striker has been in excellent form recently.

His best outing came against Chelsea, as he had three shots, created one chance and even helped out defensively.

If the striker can keep this up over the course of the season, it will give Leeds an excellent chance of avoiding the drop.

Hopefully, he can continue this run with another goal and a victory against Brentford on Sunday.
