Chris Sutton makes ‘extraordinary’ claim in Leeds vs Man City prediction
Chris Sutton believes that Leeds United need to draw from their impressive record under the lights at Elland Road as they take on Manchester City this Saturday.
The Whites have been superb at home this season, especially during evening kick-offs in West Yorkshire.
Daniel Farke’s side have secured victories over Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest at Elland Road, with the superb atmosphere often pushing them to new heights.
Leeds fans will have to be at their very best on Saturday evening though, as Man City come to town, still firmly in the Premier League title race.

Chris Sutton tips Man City to edge past Leeds
Leeds are battling to avoid an immediate return to the Championship this season, and are currently six points clear of the Premier League relegation zone.
Farke’s side have only lost two of their last 16 games across all competitions, and are in decent form for a team at the lower end of the table.
Former Premier League winner Sutton believes that Man City could struggle under the lights at Elland Road, but will come away with the three points.
In his weekly column for BBC Sport, Sutton highlighted the extraordinary record Leeds have in evening games at home, but tipped Pep Guardiola’s side to win 3-1.
He said: “This is the sort of game where, if you are a City fan, you are thinking we have to go to Elland Road and win if we are going to win the title. Leaders Arsenal did exactly that a few weeks ago, and blew Leeds away.
“Can City do the same? I am not sure – especially if we class this Saturday evening kick-off as a night game, because Leeds’ record in those under Farke is extraordinary – out of 21 so far, they have won 18 and drawn three.
“My theory is that City will win. They don’t have the same control in midfield anymore, but they have so much firepower – as well as Erling Haaland, Omar Marmoush and Semenyo are both in good form.”

Leeds’ next five fixtures examined
After their game against Man City on Saturday, Leeds face just one more team from the current top six in the Premier League before the end of the season.
It is an extremely favourable run-in for the Whites, and one that should allow them to secure their top-flight safety well in advance of the final day.
Farke’s side face Sunderland at the start of March, before games against Crystal Palace, Brentford, Manchester United and Wolves.
| Opponent | Date |
| Man City (H) | 28 Feb |
| Sunderland (H) | 3 Mar |
| Crystal Palace (A) | 14 Mar |
| Brentford (H) | 21 Mar |
| Man United (A) | 11 Apr |
Leeds then take on Bournemouth, Burnley, Tottenham and Brighton before a trip to the London Stadium to play West Ham United on the final day.
