Chris Sutton exposes worrying Leeds United problem in prediction for Fulham clash

Leeds United travel to Fulham this weekend, looking for their second win of the season.

After Leeds’ struggles in the transfer window, matched with a two-week international break, there isn’t a lot of optimism among the Whites fanbase at the moment.

With that said, Daniel Farke can rectify a lot of those concerns when Leeds face Fulham at Craven Cottage this Saturday.

The Whites are looking for their first away win of the campaign, though Chris Sutton thinks they have another thing coming their way.

Chris Sutton predicts Fulham win vs Leeds

Leeds are underdogs for the clash with Fulham, and that was only amplified further by the latest team news to have emerged.

Lucas Perri will miss Saturday’s game against Fulham, with late decisions to be made over Ao Tanaka and Ethan Amapdu after the midfield duo suffered knocks before the international break.

That is where a lot of Sutton’s concerns have emerged from, with the lack of depth that Farke has at his disposal being bemoaned.

Leeds’ start to the season

“Leeds might fancy their chances at Craven Cottage, but you only have to look at their respective squads to see the difference in quality between the two sides,” Sutton said in his predictions on BBC Sport.

“Leeds just don’t have that kind of depth, and they were well beaten on their last trip to London.”

The former England international predicted a 2-0 win for Fulham, which once again highlights Leeds’ other major concern.

Daniel Farke has a weak forward line at Leeds

Lukas Nmecha’s penalty against Everton on the opening day of the season is still the only time that Leeds have found the back of the net on their return to the Premier League.

While there’s no shame in failing to score against Arsenal, more concerns were raised from Leeds’ 0-0 draw against Newcastle, especially considering the weakened squad that they faced.

Leeds failed to add goals to their squad in the latter stages of the window, and if they are to come, Farke has to work some magic, starting with Saturday’s clash at Craven Cottage.

Fulham have not had the best start to the season themselves, though they will certainly be fancying their chances this weekend.
