Charlie Cresswell sends two-word message after confirmed Leeds United transfer news
Leeds United defender Charlie Cresswell has sent a two-word message to Jack Jenkins after the latter left Elland Road on loan.
As per the official Whites website, the 21-year-old has joined National League North side Scunthorpe United on a temporary deal until January.
Jenkins, who has played four times in the Premier League 2 this season, has one senior Leeds appearance to his name.
Sharing his delight at his new loan move, Jenkins posted on Instagram: “Happy to be here!” And among those commenting on the post was Leeds ace Cresswell, who wrote: “My boy.”
Necessary move
It is clear that, even with all of the exits at Elland Road in the summer transfer window, Jenkins is not at the forefront of the mind of Daniel Farke.
Capable of playing in both central midfield and central defence, the youngster is seemingly well down the list of options that the new Whites manager has available to him.
But it doesn’t mean the end of his Leeds career, with the player now wanting to go and gain some vital experience at his temporary club.
He has previously spent time on loan at Salford City, and now joins up with Scunthorpe, who currently sit top of the National League North table.
The 21-year-old should expect regular football there, where he will hope to do enough to convince Farke to hand him game time at Elland Road when he returns in January. The youngster is now the 12th player to exit the West Yorkshire club on loan for the new season.
