Charles De Ketelaere posts Instagram story in England amid Leeds United links

Leeds United are pushing to try and sign Club Brugge attacker Charles De Keteleare this summer and the Belgian is now in England.

The Daily Mail reported on 25 June that the Whites had submitted a bid of £26million to sign the 21-year-old with Serie A champions AC Milan also in the race to sign the international.

Leeds’ chief scout, Gaby Ruiz, has watched him closely and saw him score 15 goals last season for Brugge as they went on to win the Belgian title once again.

De Ketelaere may have added fuel to the fire on Tuesday (28 June) as he posted a story on his Instagram page of him at Wimbledon watching his Belgian compatriot Zizou Bergs in the world-famous tennis tournament.

Bergs was beaten in straight sets (6-4, 6-4, 7-6) by Brit Jack Draper in front of his good friend who could be spending a lot more time on British shores very soon.

A sign?

Alright, maybe we are looking a little too far into this but now he’s in England, he might as well at least meet with Jesse Marsch and Victor Orta to hear what a deal could look like right?

There are obviously legs to this deal for us to have reportedly submitted a bid and he surely wouldn’t reject a Premier League move to stay in Belgium where he isn’t really challenged by anybody.

Our only stumbling is the current Italian champions in Milan who are able to offer the lucrative opportunity to play Champions League football and some stunning food to go with it.

But Italy isn’t the only place you can get fine cuisine nowadays, Marsch and Orta need to take De Ketelaere for a good old roast dinner one night, with the biggest Yorkshire puddings they can find.

And while they’re tucking into their delightful meals, maybe we can slip in the idea of moving to Leeds permanently and things could spiral from there.

In other Leeds United news, Marcelo Bielsa tried to sign this striker in January but his agent has now confirmed that they are looking to leave Real Madrid this summer.
