Charles De Ketelaere hands in request amid Leeds United and AC Milan interest
Club Brugge manager Carl Hoefkens confirms that Leeds United target Charles De Ketelaere made a request over the weekend.
According to the Belgian manager, the transfer speculation was getting too much for the 21-year-old who asked to be omitted from the team that played against Genk over the weekend.
Both Leeds and AC Milan are vying for the attacker’s services this summer and have submitted offers to sign him.

Via Calciomercato, Hoefkens said, “I’ll do anything for him … but it’s all a little too much for Charles.”
Unlikely to feature again?
The Whites can be said to be leading the race for the Belgium international as they have recently tabled a fresh bid to sign him.
This has coincided with Milan pulling out of the deal as they’re unable to match Brugge’s valuation of the player.
The fact that he’s asking to be left out of the squad means that can exit is something that he’s considering.
It’s pretty evident that he wants a move to the San Siro but chances of that happening are looking bleaker with each passing day.
There now seems to be a very good chance of him moving to Elland Road and Victor Orta must quickly spring into action and discuss terms with his representatives.
It seems that the Belgian is still waiting for a defiant no from Milan before he can move on and discuss terms with other clubs.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites have submitted a fresh bid to sign their first-choice target this summer as a Champions League club has pulled out of the deal.
