CBS journalist Jake Winderman tells Leeds United to sack Jesse Marsch after loss v Aston Villa

CBS journalist and Leeds fan Jake Winderman has called for the club to “get rid of Jesse Marsch” after their defeat to Aston Villa.

The Whites made it seven games without a win for the second time this season, despite being the better side in their 2-1 loss at Villa Park.

But having conceded after just three minutes, Winderman had seen enough and declared that Marsch was “not the right coach for this club.”

“I am so ready to get rid of Jesse Marsch,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account (13 January).

“He is not the right coach for this club. Defense is absolute Swiss cheese.”

Marsch out?

This is the second time this season that the team has gone seven games without a win, and there is no doubt that once again we’re in a relegation scrap.

Last time Marsch was able to buy some time with an unexpected win at Anfield against Liverpool and then a crazy comeback win over Bournemouth.

But the chances of something similar happening again is so slim, and the board will be weary of leaving it too late to make a decision like they almost did with Marcelo Bielsa last season.

With that said though, Leeds were the better team against West Ham in the 2-2 draw and if you played the game against Aston Villa again they’d win nine times out of ten.

But at some point results have to take priority over the performance, and if Leeds don’t start winning soon then Marsch can wave goodbye to Elland Road once and for all.
