CBS journalist delighted by what he saw ‘special’ Crysencio Summerville do for Leeds United despite thumping v Arsenal
CBS journalist Jake Winderman has heaped praise on young winger Crysencio Summerville for his performance for Leeds in the 4-1 defeat to Arsenal.
The Whites were thrashed at the Emirates Stadium, but Summerville started the game well and was involved in most of the good things that Javi Gracia’s team did well throughout his appearance.
And writing on his personal Twitter account (1 April) during the game, Winderman singled out the Netherlands youth international for praise despite the heavy loss.
“You can just tell Summerville is going to be really good,” he wrote.
“Some of the runs he makes are just special.”
Quality
Leeds have been a bit of breeding ground for top young talent in recent years, including the likes of Raphinha, Illan Meslier and more recently Wilfried Gnonto.
But Summerville is a special talent who has come through the academy teams too, alongside the likes of Sonny Perkins and Mateo Joseph to show that the future at Elland Road is bright.
The fact Summerville was on the brink of leaving not too long ago because he wanted to play more regularly has been justified, because he has now proven himself to be an asset to a Premier League squad.

With the future of Gnonto up for debate as teams in Europe reportedly take an interest, there is a gaping hole for Summerville to take advantage of with a starting spot.
He keeps impressing, even in defeat and is giving the manager decisions to make when it comes to his minutes. With that type of form he will win us points, and hopefully that means keeping us in the Premier League too.
