‘Can’t be happier’ – Leeds United star posts emotional message as second promotion secured

It has been a great week for Leeds United and Pablo Hernandez, who has finally banished the nightmares of last season.

We all remember the images of the Spanish magician in tears after the defeats against both Brentford and Derby County.

Ignore those, all we can think about now are the photos of Hernandez lifting the Championship title above his head after guiding the Whites to the top once again.

As if things couldn’t get any better for Hernandez, CD Castellon finally earned promotion from the Spanish third division on Sunday evening.

The veteran playmaker bought shares in the Spanish club almost two years ago and celebrated their promotion despite being on holiday with some of his Leeds teammates.

Posting on his personal Instagram account after the game, Hernandez claimed that he couldn’t be happier at this moment in time.

“What a week!” he said. “2 promotions! I can’t be happier!”

No one deserves this success more than Hernandez, who joined the Whites and completely transformed them since the days of Garry Monk.

The 35-year-old ended the season with nine goals and assists in the Championship, and despite not starting as many games, still had a massive effect on Marcelo Bielsa and his squad.

There were so many moments where Hernandez stepped up at the business end of the season – the goal at Swansea, the demolition of both Stoke and Charlton – we all owe a lot to the legend and he deserves every bit of this happiness.
