Burnley make approaches to sign Cody Drameh from Leeds United with Elland Road exit likely
Burnley made several approaches to sign Leeds United defender Cody Drameh last season, according to LancsLive.
The publication added that the Clarets still hold an interest in the youngster, who spent the most recent campaign on loan a Luton Town.
Drameh made 19 appearances for his temporary club as they gained promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs.

“Burnley hold an interest in Leeds United defender Cody Drameh,” according to LancsLive. “The Clarets made several enquiries about the right-back over the course of last season, with him having been on Burnley’s radar for a long time.
“Drameh is entering the final year of his contract at Leeds United and is unlikely to pen fresh terms at Elland Road as things stand. Relegated Leeds could now lose the defender, with the club manager-less after Sam Allardyce’s brief spell and without a Director of Football.
“Drameh’s situation could change if Leeds appointed a manager who wanted to make the defender part of his plans – but with Luke Ayling and Rasmus Kristensen on board, a departure for Drameh is the most likely outcome at present.”

Bright future
Drameh has a really bright future ahead of him, with the youngster already proving his worth in the Championship with Luton last season and Cardiff City the season before.
But whether or not his future is at Elland Road remains to be seen, with the 21-year-old definitely deserving of his place in the Premier League having worked so hard to get Luton there via the play-offs.
He was first choice at his temporary club for the majority of the campaign, but that could all change next season if he was to make a permanent switch there given how Luton will most certainly spend big to try and stay in the division.
But Vincent Kompany’s Burnley already have a first-choice right-back it would seem in Connor Roberts, with Drameh no doubt wanting to play regular minutes if he was to leave Leeds this summer.
The Whites meanwhile have Kristensen and Ayling among their ranks at right-back, so there really is no telling where Drameh will be playing his football next season.
In other Leeds United news, one former EFL manager has confirmed he wants to be the next Whites boss.
