Confirmed: Burnley launch official complaint to FA after huge Leeds win
Burnley have launched an official complaint after they crashed to a 4-0 defeat against Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.
Sean Dyche and Marcelo Bielsa were seen speaking to the officials during the second half at Turf Moor, although the issue has not been disclosed.
Ezgjan Alioski was at the heart of the controversy after he initially clashed with Dwight McNeil, who was taken off after.
Dyche disclosed what happened with no details after the game, as shared by BBC journalist Adam Pope on his personal Twitter account.
“Dyche on referee calling him & Bielsa together: ‘One of our players made a report to the referee. The report will go into the FA’,” he wrote.
Trouble?
When complaints about the Whites are usually made, they don’t end well.
Alioski was spotted pulling a hilarious facial expression to McNeil after their clash, but he can’t be that annoyed by something as childish as that.
There must have been something said during the collision that wasn’t picked up by the BT Sports cameras, although it spells trouble.
Dyche is a so-called hard man, so it must have been something that crossed the line for him to react by submitting an official complaint.
We will have to wait for the report to become public, although, with only two games left in the Premier League season this week, it won’t affect us straight away.
With the Macedonian also set to leave Elland Road in the upcoming summer, it may not trouble the Whites at all, but his next club.
