Leeds United respond as Burnley submit bid to sign Cody Drameh
Leeds United have rejected a bid from Burnley for 21-year-old defender Cody Drameh, according to journalist, Sacha Tavolieri.
LancsLive reported on 8 June that Burnley had made several approaches for the right-back, who gained promotion with Luton Town last season.
Tavolieri, who works for RMC Sport, has suggested (via Twitter, 15 June), that an offer has been rejected by the Whites.

However, it’s believed Leeds are waiting for an improved offer to arrive with the two clubs still locked in talks.
Drameh is understood to be eager to move on.
Interesting
Leeds really need to play it fairly with Drameh. The right-back has been excellent during the 2022/23 season and deserves the chance to play regular football next year – whether that be at Elland Road or elsewhere.
It would be foolish to make a decision on Drameh without a permanent manager. Whoever the new man may be could well be keen on the 21-year-old.
In the Championship, he’s shown that’s he more than capable of making an impression.

However, Rasmus Kristensen and Luke Ayling are potentially ahead of him. A move away could well be the best thing in terms of his development.
Sitting on the bench as the third choice will do him no good. Burnley would have to be a decent fee and that money could well be reinvested into Leeds’ squad.
There’s certainly a decision to be made but not until the Whites make a call on who will be taking charge of the team for the 2023/24 season.
In other Leeds United news, Sky Sports have shared that new player contract talks have begun at Elland Road already.
