Bristol City ‘really worried’ ahead of facing Leeds United at Ashton Gate

Jermaine Beckford believes Bristol City will be wary of the Leeds United wingers ahead of the clash at Ashton Gate on Saturday (26 October).

The Whites travel to face Liam Manning’s side off the back of wins against promotion candidates Sheffield United and Watford.

Former Leeds striker Beckford has told talkSPORT (25 October, 7:40am) that he expects Daniel Farke’s men to carry that form on, picking out the wide men as key against the Robins.

He said: “The position of [Largie] Ramazani and [Willy] Gnonto find themselves, they keep the opposition defenders really worried about losing the ball because they are so dangerous.

“The full-backs for Bristol City, they’re going to have their hands full against Gnonto and possibly Dan James or [Manor] Solomon. I think I’m going to stick with my guys Leeds United and we’re going to continue that away run.”

Despite injuries to key players like Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev, Leeds have hit a positive run of form which could see them go top of the Championship if results go their way this weekend.

The win against Sheffield United really cemented their place as genuine promotion challengers once again after a somewhat shaky start.

It has to be said that this has been thanks in part to the performances of the wingers at Elland Road, who have shown their quality in recent weeks.

Gnonto has shown exactly why he is so highly rated and has combined well with summer signing Ramazani on the opposite flank.

This duo have been important and have caused plenty of problems for opposition full-backs in the Championship.

After the Belgian went off against Watford, Farke has a decision to make between Solomon and James, which just goes to show the quality he has available to him out wide.
