Brighton want to sign Tyler Adams from Leeds United amid £107m Premier League transfer development

Brighton are among a number of Premier League clubs who want to sign Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams, according to the Daily Mail.

The publication noted that their interest comes amid Chelsea’s interest in Seagulls star Moises Caicedo, with the Blues set to fund a deal for the Ecuadorian by selling several players to Saudi Arabia and Kai Havertz to Arsenal.

Brighton would therefore turn to Leeds ace Adams in order to fill the gap left by Caicedo, added the Daily Mail.

“Chelsea are ready to return with a bid for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo as they offload Kai Havertz to Arsenal plus Hakim Ziyech, Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy to Saudi Arabia for a combined fee of around £107million,” according to the Daily Mail (page 71, 23 June).

“Brighton are among several Premier League clubs keen on Leeds United’s £25million midfielder Tyler Adams.”

Top signing

Adams would be a top signing for Brighton, with not many doubting that the midfielder could thrive under a manager like Roberto De Zerbi.

The Seagulls were one of the surprise packages in the Premier League last season, with their fantastic, free-flowing football helping them secure a European spot for the first time in their history.

De Zerbi has built a superb young team on the south coast, one that is now capable of stunning the Premier League giants, with former manager Graham Potter starting the exciting revolution at the club before he left for Chelsea.

But the Seagulls are being raided this summer after their fantastic campaign, and one player that they look set to turn to is Adams.

The American international enjoyed a fine individual campaign at Leeds before an unfortunate injury saw him miss the final stages of the season.

He should be keen to play Premier League football once more this season, and Brighton shouldn’t say no to a £25million fee, which is relatively low in this day and age.

In other Leeds United news, one big-name manager is now in pole position to fill the vacant dugout at Elland Road.
