Bo Henriksen sends text after Leeds United manager appointment news
Leeds United may be full flow in celebrations after winning promotion to the Premier League, but those higher up at Elland Road are already focused on looking forward.
Daniel Farke did an excellent job in the Championship this term, picking up the league title on the last day of the season, thanks to a late Manor Solomon goal.
However, soon after promotion was confirmed, there were reports emerging that the 49ers were considering parting ways with Farke ahead of the new campaign.
The owners seemingly made the decision to commit to the German boss, but new reports suggest there may be another man on the scene.

Bo Henriksen responds to Leeds links
There was plenty of debate over Farke’s future when the initial suggestions that his future may not lie in West Yorkshire broke.
If the 49ers were prepared to part ways with their boss, it would surely be with someone else in mind.
Although it was reported that the owners were ready to stand by the boss, it has been reported by Danish news outlet Bold (12 May) that the Whites are interested in Mainz boss Bo Henriksen, with conversations between the pair having been held.
However, it’s not yet known how far the contact has progressed, as Henriksen has decided not to comment on the links.
According to the report, “In a text message, the Mainz coach writes that he has no comments on Bold’s information about the warm connection to Leeds.”

49ers need to show clear support for Farke
With the season now over, Leeds will soon be starting their preparations for the new campaign, hoping to strengthen their squad ready for Premier League action.
The Whites need to be prepared for a difficult season, but if they can achieve their aims of survival, there will be solid foundations to build upon going forward.
Team | Played | Won | Drawn | Lost |
Leeds United | 46 | 29 | 13 | 4 |
Mainz | 33 | 14 | 9 | 10 |
While the boss’ previous form in the Premier League may not be the best, he has not been given the opportunity yet to do it with proper investment and a strong squad.
The German has already built a happy squad that he will look to retain the core of and then add to.
With the spirit having been so high, there is no need for the owners to rock the boat at this stage and a new appointment could be risky.
The fact that Henriksen did not comment on the links means the situation is not very clear. Therefore, if the 49ers are standing by their current boss, they must come out and make a real statement to show that.
