Daniel James blown away by something he saw in Leeds United win v Blackburn Rovers

Daniel James has praised Leeds United supporters for making their trip to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday (9 December) feel like a home game.

The Whites eased to a 2-0 victory at Ewood Park thanks to goals from James and Crysencio Summerville either side of half-time.

In-form James, who now has seven goals and four assists in 18 league outings, was blown away by the noise from the away end in Lancashire.

“You can’t beat it. Coming out and looking to your right, having the full stand was amazing,” he told the Yorkshire Evening Post [9 December].

“It felt like a home game today. Massive credit to them for all coming.”

Great form continues

The Leeds fans – more than 7,000 of them – packed out the away section at Ewood Park for what turned out to be a fairly routine victory in the end.

Even accounting for the early kick-off time, it was a great day out for those who made the relatively short trip to Blackburn.

Leeds fans are well known for following their team around the country, and this season is no different in that regard.

In fact, thanks to the work of Daniel Farke and his coaching staff, this season has been as enjoyable as any other in recent times.

United have now won six and drawn one of their past seven matches, yet they are still seven points off second-placed Ipswich Town, who themselves continue to rack up the wins.

On this current trajectory, the showdown with the Tractor Boys on 23 December really will be massive.

In other Leeds United news, a talkSPORT commentator was left shocked by an FA rule that was implemented after the Whites’ win at Blackburn.
