Billionaire-owned club want to extend contract of goal-scoring CB and loan him to Leeds – report
PSG are looking to extend the contracts of two young stars and send them on loan to Leeds United next season, including goal-scoring centre-back Tanguy Kouassi.
That’s the claim made by 90min.com who say that several European sides are interested in signing the pair.
The players in question are 17-year-olds Adil Aouchiche and Kouassi who have both broken through into the first team at PSG this season.
Aouchiche is an attacking midfielder who has made three appearances this season and got his first goal in the Coupe de France.
Centre-back Kouassi has made 13 appearances and scored two goals in the 4-4 draw with Amiens in February.
The 6ft2in enforcer has started four of the last eight games in Ligue 1.
Why Leeds?
Both players are out of contract in the summer and PSG are said to be keen to get them to re-sign.
Leeds seem to be the bait to convince them to do this, with the lure of playing in the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa.
The link is billionaire PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi who is also the chairman of QSI, who have been in talks with Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani over fresh investment in the club.
Radrizzani talked about Al-Khelaifi and QSI again in an interview with Gianluca Di Marzio at the beginning of April, saying he had an excellent relationship with the PSG owner.
He also said that there was a “desire to do something together” and the 90min.com report says this could lead to a link between the two clubs – something that could only benefit Leeds, especially in the short term.
