‘Better than Costa’, ‘A transfer I can get behind’ – Many Leeds fans thrilled by attacker link
Leeds United fans are excited by a report which says that the Whites could land Liverpool attacker Harry Wilson for a bargain fee in the next transfer window.
Football Insider has reported that Wilson, who has been on loan at Bournemouth this season, has been eyed up by Leeds in each of the last two summer transfer windows.
Marcelo Bielsa is said to be an admirer of the Wales international, 23, and Liverpool are expected to listen to permanent offers for him once his loan at Bournemouth ends.
Wilson was once valued at £25million but the fact that he has been regularly loaned out by the Reds and coronavirus’ impact on football’s economy, he might not be worth anywhere near that if Leeds launch a third attempt to land him.
Wilson has done well on the south coast this season, scoring six goals and assisting two in 27 appearances across all competitions and given that he now has a good amount of Premier League experience, he could be someone to improve Leeds’ attack if they win promotion.
That’s what these fans think anyway, with one tipping Wilson to be better than Helder Costa.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
We agree with Rich. Wilson would be a decent signing but will Leeds be able to sign him? There are bound to be plenty of teams keen if Liverpool want to sell the attacker.
