Beren Cross speaks on contract situation for Forshaw at Leeds United
Beren Cross has opened up on Adam Forshaw’s contract situation at Leeds United.
Forshaw’s contract is up at the end of the season with the Whites ‘very likely’ to renew the Englishman’s deal according to Leeds Live.
Leeds will look to keep hold of the midfielder thanks to the 30-year-old’s renaissance after his long-term injury.

“Forshaw is the only high profile player with a contract expiring this year and while I am unsure if an announcement is imminent, I would be very surprised if they were not in talks with his agent.” Cross stated as per Leeds Live.
“He has been supreme since returning and looks a crucial player into next season and beyond.”
Unbelievable
It is a matter of when rather than if Leeds United decide to renew Forshaw’s deal which still seems strange.
After spending a lengthy spell out injured and now being 30 years old, the midfielder looked nailed on to leave Elland Road when his contract concludes at the end of the season.

Since coming back into the side, Forshaw has been a stalwart in the midfield, he has been nothing short of excellent throughout the first half of the season for the Whites.
With Leeds lacking most of their senior pros for large periods this season, the Englishman has been worth his weight in gold, using his experience to lead the team to the best of his ability.
There is absolutely no doubt whether he deserves a new contract; the only question mark surrounding the deal is how long it will be for.
Although he continues to go from strength to strength under Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds, they will have one eye on his age as he enters the latter stages of his career.
