Beren Cross shares update on Leeds United-Boubacar Kamara links

Beren Cross has shared that he hasn’t heard firm noises about Leeds United potentially moving for Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara.

While doing a Q&A session for Leeds Live, Cross has suggested that Kamara is probably not someone that Leeds are after at the moment.

Earlier this week, Conor McGilligan, who is a Multimedia/Podcast Producer for Leeds & Yorkshire Live for Leeds & Yorkshire Live, claimed that the Whites are in a good position to sign the 22-year-old this month.

Cross wrote when asked about Kamara: “Kamara’s been knocking around the rumour mills for a few weeks now, but he’s not a target I’ve heard firm noises on from Elland Road as yet.”

Good move?

Leeds are looking to sign a midfielder in January with Kalvin Phillips expected to be out till March.

Adam Forshaw has done incredibly well in recent months, but Marcelo Bielsa needs another quality addition in that department.

Kamara will be a free agent in the summer, and the French club are willing to let him go in January.

He is a tireless runner and a box-to-box midfielder. He is known for his combative approach and is equally good with link-up plays.

He has been described as “magnificent” by Total Football Analysis, but it seems Leeds are probably not looking at him this month.

While he has got quality to thrive at Leeds, Bielsa will probably want to buy someone who can make an instant impact.

Anything can happen in the transfer market, but in the case of Kamara, it seems the interest from Leeds is not concrete.
