Beren Cross: Joe Gelhardt could be best bit of business Leeds have ever made
Beren Cross has insisted that Leeds United forward Joe Gelhardt could be the best piece of business ever completed at Elland Road.
The young striker has been inspirational for the under-23s this season, playing a huge role in guiding them to the Division 2 title in the Premier League 2.
Cross first claimed that the attacker could be the best piece of business in the past 20 years, before insisting ever after labelling him “outrageous.”
Writing in the past week, as shared by LUFC Youth on their official Twitter account on Thursday morning, Cross made the huge claim.
“I’m sure we’ll find out in the years ahead, but Gelhardt may well be the best bit of business the club has done in the last 20 years, if not ever because he just looks absolutely outrageous very, very good player,” he wrote.
Outrageously good.
Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood have been two of the best signings we have seen in recent years, and it shows a massive upgrade for our academy.
Both have been tipped massively for the first-team in the Premier League, but apart from some appearances on the bench, they haven’t got onto the pitch.
The former Wigan talent has proved that the Premier League 2 is far too easy for him, and he simply has to make his senior debut soon.
If you asked every single Whites fan around the globe to name one talent they want to see in the first-team, more than 90% would surely pick Gelhardt.
Best piece of business ever? He still has to prove that.
