Ben White has failed to definitely answer whether or not he will be at Leeds United next season after being questioned by a young fan.
Daniel Auton grabbed the headlines when sending a letter to Brighton in April, offering his pocket money to turn the defenders’ loan move into a permanent switch.
That offer was rejected, but the young fan was given the chance to video call White thanks to Sky Sports and that was where the important question popped up.
White admitted that the dream scenario is having both Leeds and Brighton in the Premier League next season, although he didn’t know which he’d be playing for.
“We don’t know just yet, but I’ve really enjoyed my time at Leeds and it’s been a really good season so far,” he said.
“Brighton and Leeds in the Premier League, I think that would be amazing for me and then I just what happens next season for me.”
The future of White is clearly a hot topic in-and-around West Yorkshire right now, and it is quite clear that Leeds would love to keep the defender on their books.
Andrea Radrizzani even responded to the letter on social media, confirming that he plans to put in an offer for the 22-year-old once the summer transfer window opens.
Great job Daniel! You are welcome to join the club and help victor orta after your school 🙂 We will top up your offer for Ben and go back to Mr Barber #mot 💪💪🙏🙏💛💙
