BBC pundit reacts as Phil Hay shares Leeds United update on Aston Villa striker Cameron Archer
Carlton Palmer has shared his reaction to the recent Leeds United development amid their interest in Aston Villa striker Cameron Archer.
The Athletic journalist Phil Hay claimed on Monday (21 August) on the Square Ball at 31:46, that if the 21-year-old Englishman is to quit Villa Park this summer, it will be for a Premier League club.
Palmer believes that if the Whites do manage to sign him, he will be a good signing for them.

The BBC pundit told Give Me Sport, “I thought Bamford was going to have a very, very big impact on Leeds United, this season.
“But he’s continued where he left off from last season with his injury problems.”
“They need a regular player up top who’s going to score goals.
“Cameron Archer has proved that. He’s very talented.”
Make an attempt
If there are no Premier League sides willing to sign him this summer, it could be the perfect chance for Leeds to make a move.
They can look to secure his services on loan if Villa are not open to letting him leave on a permanent basis.

The 21-year-old Englishman can be a very good option for the future at Villa Park so one can understand their reluctance in letting him go this summer.
Leeds need goals and Bamford is not someone who can guarantee that given his lack of form and fitness over the past few seasons.
Joe Gelhardt too, has struggled this season and he cannot really be the option to lead the line this season for the Whites.
They need a proven goal scorer and Daniel Farke certainly will be prioritising that so hopefully, he gets the desired option.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites need to table a ‘Convincing’ bid to sign a striker as EFL rivals’ stance emerges on his sale this summer.
