BBC pundit Dion Dublin shares behind-the-scenes update from Leeds United after Brighton game
Dion Dublin believes that the mood inside the Leeds United dressing room is jovial despite them being in a relegation battle.
The Whites could have had their fate sealed had they ended up losing to Brighton on Sunday evening.
However, Pascal Struijk’s late goal gave the Whites some fighting hope going into the final week of the Premier League campaign.
Speaking on the Premier League Weekend Review, Dublin, a BBC pundit, said, “What I’ve heard is that there’s good personnel in the dressing room. Good character. They never know when they’re beat and that’s really important.”
It’s easy to let heads drop and have your focus drift elsewhere in situations like these.
A number of players may not even be at the club next season and relegation may not really matter to them.
However, from whatever is coming from inside Elland Road, things are appearing to be as happy as ever and that’s extremely important.
While many of the players may not be fully buying into Jesse Marsch’s methods yet, it’s important that they continue giving it their all over this week.
Brentford have nothing left to play for and if results elsewhere go their way, then the Whites could seal Premier League safety with a win in their final game.
Burnley do not have easy games and the same can be said about Everton as well although the Toffees have a points advantage and should be safe.
