BBC journalist shares what source close to Bielsa family has said about Leeds boss
Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa is all well and good amid the current coronavirus pandemic, according to BBC Radio Leeds journalist Adam Pope.
The broadcaster shared on his personal Twitter account on Sunday that he’d been told by a source close to the Bielsa family that the Leeds boss and his wife are fine.
As far as we know, all members of Bielsa’s staff and playing squad are not experiencing any sort of symptoms related to the coronavirus but the club has taken measures to quell the spread of the disease.
Last week it was revealed that Leeds had disbanded training at Thorp Arch with players being sent home to train on their own.
It must be tough for a meticulous planner like Bielsa to be sat at home without having full control over his squad and without having an end-date in sight for the current suspension of the Championship.
It’s tough for everyone at the minute but for the greater good of the health of the players, staff members and the general public, football and training had to be stopped.
We cannot wait for football to come back but for now, there are other priorities.
In other Leeds United news, a journalist has predicted who might replace Bielsa at Elland Road if the Argentine quits before the start of next season.
