BBC journalist details what FA have said about releasing written reasons for Casilla ban
Leeds United fans have been left wondering why the FA are yet to release their findings to the public after Kiko Casilla was hit with an eight-match ban last week.
Casilla, 33, was charged with racially abusing Jonathan Leko back in September but the case only concluded last week with the Spanish shot-stopper now set to miss all but the final three matches of the Championship season.
The Daily Mail reported that the FA were due to release their written reasons for banning Casilla on Monday but we’re now well into Tuesday and there’s still been no word from the governing body.
However BBC Radio Leeds journalist Adam Pope has reported via his personal Twitter account that the FA have said that their findings will be made public by the end of this week.
The FA have already dragged their heels over this case as it is so let’s hope we do not have to wait too long before the results of their investigation are released to the public.
However it may not be something that Leeds fans will want to wait for as the Mail reported that the findings are set to make grim reading for the Yorkshire giants.
It remains to be seen what the Mail’s insiders mean by that but it does not sound good at all.
This has been a very ugly and uncomfortable situation for everyone involved with Leeds but at least this investigation should provide some clarity.
