Bayern Munich are interested in Leeds United ace Raphinha
Bayern Munich are keen on bringing Leeds United ace Raphinha to the Bundesliga next summer, according to French outlet Jeunes Footeux.
The German giants are preparing for potential life without Kingsley Coman, who has been tipped to leave at the end of 2021-22, and while they are keeping tabs on Ousmane Dembele – whose Barcelona contract expires next June – they have the Whites star on their radar.
Leeds want around £34million for the Brazil international attacker, 25, and it is believed he could be open to a departure should one of Europe’s bigwigs come calling when the summer transfer window opens.
Sales on the cards?
The Elland Road outfit spent £17million on Raphinha in October 2020 when he joined them from Rennes [BBC], and he is without any doubt worth more than double the fee 14 months later.
Leeds will need to hold on to their Premier League status come the end of the campaign to have any slight chance of holding on to him, but a sale looks very feasible as he would want to play European football and challenge for silverware like most of his international teammates.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are unable to provide that right now, and Raphinha will not be short of suitors given his impressive performances since he arrived at the Yorkshire outfit.
He has scored 13 goals and assisted another 10 in 45 Premier League games for the Whites, and he is one of the reasons they finished ninth in 2020-21 and are not in the relegation zone already this season.
Bayern are a very attractive side for any team, and no one will blame Raphinha if a chance to join the Champions League giants tempts him.
