Bamford posts five word message after pundit comments on Leeds victory v Blues

With Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford missing the game against Birmingham on Sunday, he took up a role in the commentary box.

The 26-year-old missed out on a cracking game at St Andrew’s and most likely missed out on an opportunity to add to his tally in the 5-4 victory.

So, Bamford took his place in the gantry and kicked every ball whilst commentating, making some questionable noises towards the end of the game.

Colin Murray, presenter of EFL on Quest, shared a clip of Bamford’s reaction to the fifth goal and winner on Saturday evening. LUTV commentator Michael Weadock shared the clip thanking him for the recognition.

Bamford then reacted to that on his personal Twitter account on Monday morning, posting a five-word message to the reactions.

“That squeak, what a game,” he wrote.

Bamford clearly showed his passion for the club and especially the result whilst on the microphone, giving great insights into his teammates as he made numerous jokes on the likes of Luke Ayling after the scored the third goal in the game.

With Leeds confirming before the game that the 26-year-old is expected to return for the New Year’s Day trip to West Brom, the majority of Whites fans will be crossing their fingers that he returns for the top of the table clash at the Hawthorns.
