Bamford leads X-rated Chris Wilder chant in Leeds promotion party at Elland Road

Patrick Bamford wasn’t holding back with voicing his feelings towards Chris Wilder with Leeds United fans at Elland Road.

The Whites secured promotion on Monday (21 April) with a magnificent 6-0 win against Stoke City, with Joel Piroe netting four.

This, combined with a 2-1 win for Burnley, secured promotion for themselves and Daniel Farke’s side, sparking wild scenes outside the ground in LS11.

Supporters were seen interacting with fans and starting chants with Bamford getting involved with an expletive song towards Sheffield United boss Wilder.

Bamford leads chants against Wilder at Leeds United

It is fair to say that Easter Monday was a special day for the Leeds faithful who finally saw their side secure a place in the Premier League after two years in the second tier.

On a day which could have been nervy, a huge six-goal win put to bed any worries as Burnley also did their job to secure promotion.

This has condemned Sheffield United to the playoffs, where they have typically struggled to perform over the years.

It will be the turn of Wilder to take charge of his side in the four-team shootout, but it is fair to say there will be few associated with Leeds in his corner.

The 57-year-old has always had a disdain for the Whites and has made comments about Bamford in the past, which has only resulted in one thing.

The former England international striker was caught on camera by Paul Z on X (22 April), kickstarting an X-rated chant towards the Blades manager.

Although this may not reflect well on the Leeds number nine, there will be plenty of fans who will have joined in with the striker outside Elland Road.

Leeds United fans to love what Bamford did to Wilder

On a day where the Whites finally returned to the Premier League after two years away, things didn’t feel as if they could be any better.

What has transpired is that the squad in LS11 have shown a personal element which can only be seen as a huge positive.

This saw Harry Gray start chants of his own after making his debut against Stoke in a moment which all supporters were delighted with.

Pascal Struijk was also spotted in a 2001 Strongbow away shirt inside Elland Road as celebrations kicked off.

This has all been superseded somewhat by the chant from Bamford, which has certainly gone down well with fans of many clubs on social media.
