Leeds United set to look for new boss, Arne Slot could be on Elland Road wish list
Feyenoord manager Arne Slot will likely be a managerial candidate for Leeds United in the summer, according to The Athletic.
The Whites targetted the 44-year-old after Jesse Marsch’s departure and according to the Telegraaf on 13 February, the board were prepared to pay £2.65million to the Eredivisie side.
Slot is now a league winner after Feyenoord’s title triumph and The Athletic claim (14 May) he will be a target for Leeds, Tottenham and Crystal Palace, with all three clubs set to be looking for a new manager during the off-season.

“In England alone, Tottenham, Leeds, Crystal Palace and a few others will be looking for a new head coach. Slot will likely be on most of those lists,” they wrote.
One condition
A move for Slot will depend heavily on one condition. The Dutchman is highly unlikely to move to a Championship club. He’s either going to stay put and continue the good work he has laid down at Feyenoord or make the move to a Premier League side.
Tottenham would seem like a good fit. Spurs have been crying out for fast attacking football and that’s what Slot brings to the table. Had Leeds been in a position where they were comfortable in mid table, then they could’ve had a chance of hiring the 44-year-old.

However, when they made their approach in February, Slot was completely focussed on turning his side’s lofty league position into a piece of silverware. There was no chance of him jumping ship to be involved in a relegation battle, with no guarantees at the end of the 2022/23 season.
With their being uncertainty of Sam Allardyce’s future, it’s highly likely that Leeds will be on the look out for a new boss in just a matter of weeks. If they are a Premier League side, then Slot could well be on the radar.
