Angus Kinnear to quit Leeds in shock exit
Leeds United chief executive Angus Kinnear looks set to leave Elland Road in a surprising departure.
The 47-year-old has been at Leeds since 2017 after a four-year stint at West Ham United and a decade with Premier League giants Arsenal.
This has seen the Englishman keep his job in LS11 despite the takeover by 49ers Enterprises in 2023 and he has gone on to work on a wide range of roles from transfers to the stadium expansion project.
It now appears that the chief could be set to make a shock exit from the Whites with talks set to kick off before the end of the campaign.

Kinnear set to leave Leeds United for Everton
The former Gunners executive looks set to become the CEO of Everton at the end of the season, according to Mike Keegan (26 February).
Kinnear is closing in on a switch across to Merseyside as the Toffees’ owners The Friedkin Group seek to rebuild their new club in the summer.
The American businessmen are keen to hire a CEO to oversee a new era in what is expected to be a busy summer transfer window at the new Bramley Moore Dock Stadium.
The Elland Road executive is thought to be keen to stay until the end of the season to oversee Leeds’ promotion to the Premier League before he departs.
Given that his contract in Yorkshire is open-ended and as a result, talks would need to take place between the two clubs over his exit before the end of the season.
The current Leeds chief has been identified as the Evertonians’ number one candidate by TFG, who have enlisted the help of renowned recruiters Nolan Partners.
Leeds United set for boardroom change
It does look set to be a very busy summer in LS11, especially if the Championship title or promotion is earned by the end of the campaign.
This does look likely after a late win against Sheffield United opened up a five-point gap at the top of the second tier with just 12 games remaining
Position | Team | Points | Goal difference |
1 | Leeds United | 75 | +50 |
2 | Sheffield United | 70 | +22 |
3 | Burnley | 68 | +34 |
4 | Sunderland | 62 | +19 |
With a place in the Premier League looking highly possible, the summer window is likely to be a busy one but now looks set to be on the case both on the pitch and in the boardroom.
It will certainly be a blow to lose Kinnear at this stage with such a sizable task coming up in the top division but it seems as if a move to Everton is all but done.
