Angus Kinnear obtains scout pass to watch Premier League 22-year-old - report
Leeds United have been tracking Manchester United winger Daniel James for a number of weeks during this window.
The Whites have a turbulent history with the Welsh international, having missed out on his signature in 2019 after Swansea pulled the plug.
The Sun first reported that Leeds could plot a second move for James, and believe they could secure him either on loan or even on a permanent deal.
The Manchester Evening News then shared weeks after that James is not expecting to leave Old Trafford despite their search for another winger.
That hasn’t stopped Leeds though, with the same outlet reporting on their website on Tuesday that Angus Kinnear was at the Red Devils’ clash against Luton last week in the Carabao Cup.
It was reported that the Whites managing director is a Luton fan, but did have to obtain a scouting pass to watch the clash that Manchester United won 3-0.

Kinnear would have been disappointed, not only with the result – but the fact that James was an unused substitute.
James hasn’t enjoyed the best start to the Premier League season but still isn’t expected to leave Old Trafford.
The 22-year-old started their season opener against Crystal Palace and was dragged off at half-time – not featuring since for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Marco Reus claimed on Tuesday that Jadon Sancho was staying at Dortmund for another year – something which suggests that United will miss out on signing a winger in this window.
Kinnear scouting or not, it looks as though James will be staying where he is.
