Angus Kinnear exit: Premier League boardrooms ‘now expect one thing at Leeds’
Alex Crook has shared a new update on Everton’s pursuit of Leeds United CEO Angus Kinnear.
The Englishman is an integral figure at Elland Road having taken the post in 2017 and remained in the role when 49ers Enterprises took full control of the club.
The Whites opened up a seven-point gap to third-placed Burnley in the Championship with victory against Sheffield United on Monday (24 February), but the latest update could be a crushing blow to Daniel Farke.

Kinnear set to leave Leeds United
A report from talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook (26 February) claims that Kinnear is set to leave Leeds to join Everton in the summer.
Crook states that the expectation within Premier League boardrooms is that the former West Ham and Arsenal man leaves Elland Road to join the Blues at the end of the season.
Leeds will likely now have to seek out a replacement before – hopefully – returning to the Premier League.
Expectation from people within Premier League boardrooms is that Angus Kinnear leaves #LUFC to become the new CEO of #EFC at the end of the season. More on https://t.co/ZRTBbuiXmA

Leeds United face major Kinnear blow
Losing Kinnear would be a major blow for Leeds. They already have a busy summer if they manage to secure promotion to the top flight as expected.
Replacing their CEO would add to an already exhaustive list of things to do in the transfer window to improve the squad for a relegation dogfight.
Position | Team | GD | Points |
1 | Leeds United | +50 | 75 |
2 | Sheffield United | +22 | 70 |
3 | Burnley | +34 | 68 |
4 | Sunderland | +19 | 62 |
The Elland Road outfit need to start work to secure his replacement immediately to ensure a smooth transition ahead of what promises to be a demanding season on and off the pitch, with the gap between promoted teams and Premier League regulars seemingly at an all-time low.
The likes of Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton are miles away from survival in this campaign and it will be an almighty task for the Whites to stay in the division next season if they go up.
They need to secure the right recruits for the playing squad and make the right hire in the boardroom if they are to have any chance of staying up.
