Angus Kinnear can’t see Leeds United doing much more business
Leeds United CEO Angus Kinnear has revealed that he doesn’t expect the Whites to do too much more business, but they will be ready to strike should a good deal become available.
Speaking to the Square Ball podcast, the Leeds chief revealed his thoughts on the club’s remaining transfer plans, and it seems as if he is expecting quite a quiet end to the window.
However, Kinnear did hint that should a deal similar to Raphinha pop up, the club would act and bring in that player.

He said: “We are ready.
“I think we proved it last year with Raphinha, who wasn’t a player that was in the master plan but was a last-minute opportunity, but it will take a special opportunity to emerge.
“So, at the moment, I don’t think there’s going to be a significant amount of business done between now and the end of the season.
“Fans should rest assured that we have a great team of scouts led by Victor who are continually monitoring the market.
Not what Leeds fans want to hear.
It seems as if the Whites feel pretty satisfied with the transfer business that they have completed and aren’t really expecting much more.
However, there could be a surprise at the end of the window, similar to Raphinha.
Also, in contrast to what Kinnear said here, Leeds could be getting closer to signing Lewis O’Brien from Huddersfield [Yorkshire Evening Post].

Of course, that could be the surprise signing, but it feels too early in the window for that to be the case.
So, we will have to see what happens, but if O’Brien is completed, we can only see the Whites signing one more player and wouldn’t expect that deal to be even possible until near the end of the transfer window.
Kinnear speaks very well throughout this whole interview, and we recommend any Leeds fan to take some time out of their day and have a listen.
