Ange Postecoglou shares recall update on Leeds United ace Manor Solomon
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has no plans to recall Manor Solomon from his loan spell at Leeds United.
The Australian boss, speaking at a pre-match press conference before Sunday’s Premier League contest with Leicester City, was asked if he might ponder bringing back Solomon or Bryan Gil, who is with LaLiga club Girona.
Spurs have been hit by an injury crisis in recent weeks but, in good news for Leeds, it looks as though Solomon will be staying at Elland Road the remainder of the campaign.
Noted journalist Fabrizio Romano took to X (24 January) to relay what Postecoglou said about a potential recall, posting: “Could Spurs consider to recall players like Manor Solomon or Bryan Gil? Ange Postecoglou: ‘No’.”
Manor Solomon set to stay with Leeds United
This will be music to the ears of Leeds supporters, who may have feared Solomon being taken back to North London to ease some of Spurs’ injury woes.
It was an up-and-down start to his loan spell from the 25-year-old but in 21 Championship outings he now has five goals and five assists, becoming a key performer for a Whites side who sit top of the table.

If Leeds would have lost Solomon then it would have left a gaping hole in Daniel Farke’s attacking options but this means that if Leeds are to do any business this month they can now likely focus their attentions elsewhere.
Most fans would probably like to see a new striker arrive, while additional cover at centre-back would likely be welcomed by Farke as he looks to ensure he has enough options for what promises to be another tough run in as Leeds attempt to win promotion to the Premier League.
