Andy Couzens 'can only see three points' for Leeds United against Millwall

Former Leeds United midfielder Andy Couzens has claimed he can only see one outcome for the Yorkshire side in their visit to Millwall, and that is them coming away from South London with all three points.

Couzens, who now presents match-day content for Leeds, has suggested it is now time for this side to settle into their rhythm and start getting some points on the board, starting with today’s clash.

Leeds head into the game off the back of an international break but had previously drawn 0-0 with Sheffield Wednesday after an inconsistent start to the Championship season.

Taking to his personal Twitter account on the morning of the fixture, Couzens posted: “And we go again. Three points on the road in London doesn’t come easy but today I can only see three points for Leeds.

“After a turbulent transfer window, now it’s time for the team to settle into this season and get some results on the board.”

It has been a relatively slow start to the season at Elland Road and has fallen short of many fans’ expectations despite the difficult transfer window they faced with a multitude of players departing following their relegation from the Premier League.

Now, though, the excuses are starting to wear thin and Leeds will need to step up their performances and start to win games, particularly as their new-look squad start to gel and click with each other’s styles of play, as well as that of the new boss.

A trip to Millwall is never an easy prospect for any club, but their own slow start to the season has led to criticism of manager Gary Rowett and Leeds could look to capitalise on the uncertainty and concern that seems to be lingering in South London.

Following the international break, Leeds are expecting a number of key players to return, so they should have pretty much a full squad to work with in their efforts to achieve all three points from The Den.
