Andrea Radrizzani thrilled after major Leeds United news emerges

Andrea Radrizzani was thrilled after Leeds United announced that Crysencio Summerville had penned a new deal at the club.

The Dutch attacker took to Instagram to share the news being made official after he posed with the number 10 jersey previously worn by Raphinha.

He wrote, “Grateful and proud to extend my contract at this beautiful club. Ready for what’s coming. All glory to God.”

Radrizzani commented, “Amen. A wonderful boy in a glorious club.”

Big boots to fill

Getting the number 10 without establishing himself as a first-team regular puts added pressure on the shoulders of Summerville.

The Dutchman has divided opinion at Elland Road with some sections of the fanbase rating him as one of the best young players at the club while others deeming him not good enough.

However, in the eyes of the club hierarchy, and certainly Radrizzani, he’s done enough to not just merit the new number but also a new deal.

As expected, many of the current and former Leeds players congratulated him in the comments and it’s good to see such great unity at the club.

It’s now time for him to kick on and go a few more levels as he’ll be looking to establish himself as a first-team player.

The jersey also probably means that he will not be leaving the club on loan this summer so we’re expecting to see a lot more from him.

In other Leeds United news, a 29-year-old has snubbed interest from Europe to move to Elland Road with the move subject to a work permit.
