Andrea Radrizzani sends four-word Tweet as European Super League collapses
The European Super League hasn’t lasted long, with it reportedly nearing collapse the day after the 1-1 draw between Leeds United and Liverpool.
It was destined to fail from the moment it was announced this week, with it causing great outrage from the fans, media and other clubs.
TalkSPORT reported on Tuesday that the 12 founding clubs were meeting this evening to discuss disbanding the competition, something that eventually happened.
Andrea Radrizzani has strongly opposed the idea since it was created, and certainly hasn’t remained quiet when following the Whites.
That hasn’t stopped this evening, with the Italian taking to his personal Twitter account to mock the competition after it was close to collapse.
“The One Day league?” he wrote.
Greed.
The new competition was created with the sole purpose for the “founding” clubs to earn money, and it was billions.
Radrizzani reacted to a Tweet that proved just that, with all 12 clubs included so far in serious debt, with Barcelona and Tottenham both over one billion in debt.
This was never going to work, and the whole concept of the competition was a joke.
West Ham and Leicester are currently in the top of the Premier League, where was their invite? Leeds have taken four points from Manchester City and Liverpool this week, where was our invite?
Common sense has prevailed, thankfully, and hopefully, we can all concentrate on the Premier League yet again, and who knows? The Whites could still have the dream of making Europe thanks to this brainless idea disappearing.
