Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has taken to Twitter to say that he misses football amid the current coronavirus-enforced suspension of the Championship.

Leeds haven’t played since their 2-0 win against Huddersfield on March 7 and it seems unlikely that the Whites will be able to play again any time soon.

Before the EFL suspended the Championship, Leeds were on a five-match winning run and were top of the league with a seven-point gap to third-placed Fulham.

Hopefully Leeds are able to resume their promotion charge at a later date and it seems Radrizzani cannot wait for that to happen.

“I miss you,” Radrizzani said via his personal Twitter account in a response to a video clip on Leeds’ page that showed the two goals in the win against Huddersfield.

We’re all with you on this one, Andrea.

Football is often an escape from everyday life and when times are so hard and so uncertain, we could do with football now more than ever.

However we are fully aware that, in the current climate, there is no way that football matches can be going ahead, even behind closed doors.

When football is able to return, we hope that it is for the final nine games of this season and we hope fans are able to pack Elland Road to the rafters.

But right now, we would be happy to just have a match on television to watch, even if there are no fans at the game.
