Andrea Radrizzani sends new message to Leeds United fans after recent abuse

Andrea Radrizzani hit out at Leeds United supporter and claimed he has been “insulted” and “abused” by fans.

The former Whites own has been vocal on social media recently, firing back at a fan on Friday (22 November) after he replied to a post on X from Radrizzani asking Elon Musk to become the new president of Italy.

Radrizzani has taken to the social media platform again to send a new message to Leeds fans (24 November) about his tenure at Elland Road, in which he oversaw promotion to the Premier League in the 2019-2020 season.

He wrote: “I hear you all. Since June 2023 I have been criticized, abused, insulted any time I say a word about anything.

“It doesn’t change that we (management and all club employees) invested, transformed modernized the club and finally achieved historical promotion after 17y thanks to MB.”

Radrizzani isn’t helping his Leeds United reputation

The Italian actually once had a good rapport with supporters. Having acquired full control of the club in 2017, he led the Whites to a long-awaited return to the Premier League but the relationship with supporters soured by the end.

Poor player recruitment and even poorer managerial recruitment completely plagued his last couple of years at the club and has played a huge role as to why Leeds found themselves back in the Championship, amid another rebuild.

Leeds fans do not like Chelsea.

Surely, though, now the time has come for him to just put the phone don and stop getting involved in tit-for-tat back-and-forths with Leeds supporters.

Whites fans are in a much better position now under the stewardship of 49ers Enterprises and if they manage to get promoted there is genuine optimism of Leeds establishing themselves back among the Premier League elite.

Radrizzani is the past and, frankly, all parties would be much better served just leaving it be now.
