Andrea Radrizzani due to touch down this week for Leeds United transfer talks – Phil Hay

Andrea Radrizzani is due in town this week to discuss Leeds United transfers with Jesse Marsch, according to Phil Hay on Sunday evening [31 July].

Speaking after the 6-2 win over Cagliari in our final pre-season friendly of the summer, Marsch responded to transfer speculation ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

A new left-back and strikers were top of the agenda after a summer which has already seen Victor Orta bring in seven new faces to Elland Road.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Hay shared the latest from the owner as he is expected to arrive in West Yorkshire within a matter of days.

“Marsch happy with the performance and thinks he’s seen signs of the plan coming together more and more,” he wrote

“Nothing to add on transfers yet but Radrizzani is in Leeds this week and he and Marsch will be discussing their next moves in the market.”

Foot on the gas.

Leeds have already completed what they believe to be the main bulk of their transfer action.

But, with injuries striking during pre-season and the need for a new striker, two or three new faces are likely to arrive before that September 1st deadline next month.

Che Adams and Julian Quinones of Southampton and Atlas are both said to be wanted in the final third, but that left-back puzzle piece is remaining out of the media for now [Daily Mail].

Radrizzani will be coming into West Yorkshire for talks with Marsch, and no doubt Orta will be there too to talk names as well as the budget that will be required.

Three new arrivals and possibly four if you throw in another experienced goalkeeper could make this the perfect window in terms of incomings, but we will have to wait and see what happens.

One thing for sure, we should see Orta put his foot on the gas yet again after he gets the green light from Radrizzani this week, who is on his way back into town.
