Andrea Radrizzani defends Adam Forshaw after player missed West Ham clash
Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has leapt to the defence of Adam Forshaw after a fan questioned him for missing West Ham clash.
The Italian businessman had dubbed the 29-year-old a new midfield signing back in August when he was asked why the club did not sign one in the summer window.
Forshaw was not named on the bench for the Hammers’ visit, and one Leeds fan told Radrizzani on Twitter: “Our new signing Foreshaw must be delivering sarnies today again. Stealing a wage.”
The Whites chairman was having none of it, firing back on his personal Twitter account.
He said: “How long do you want to go on? I will always defend my players when they wear Leeds jersey. They are the best. Nothing else to add.
“Hope now you can all give me a break and support the lads today as always loudly and strongly. Come on Leeds.”

With the Whites suffering from plenty of knocks at the moment, having the central midfielder available would have been a massive boost.
Unfortunately, he is unavailable and that is not a fault of his.
Questioning Radrizzani anytime the player is not in the matchday squad or misses a penalty makes no sense, and Leeds United fans should do better.
They should be supporting Forshaw as he looks to get back to his best once again after he was out for almost 700 days before returning to competitive action against Crewe last month.
His lengthy injury layoffs and setbacks frustrate the player himself, but getting abuse on social media for it is not going to help matters, and Radrizzani has continued to make it clear he stands against it.
