Andrea Radrizzani condition emerges as Leeds United could announce new manager before EFL green signal

Leeds United could reportedly announce a new manager before the EFL give the green signal about the San Francisco 49ers takeover.

According to LeedsLive journalist Beren Cross, this would require Andrea Radrizzani to sign it off as he’s currently the majority shareholder.

Paraag Marathe, on paper, is not the one calling the shots so he cannot be the one doing what an owner usually does.

Cross wrote on 30 June, “As I understand it, the club could announce a new head coach now, but it would technically need Andrea Radrizzani’s sign-off and be his appointment as the current majority shareholder. Until the takeover is ratified, Paraag Marathe remains a board member with little power. It would be the same with transfers.

“A lot of that would depend on the relationship with Radrizzani, whereas it will be far simpler once the takeover is sealed and Marathe et al can push buttons.

“If, in the extreme example, the EFL does not ratify this takeover before September 1 then at some point there would need to be frank conversations between Radrizzani and 49ers Enterprises about how business gets done because it would be in everyone’s interests for that to continue.”

Farke’s job?

After a lengthy interview process, it seems like Leeds have agreed upon their desired candidate.

Farke was always among the frontrunners for the job and it seems like he has interviewed better than Patrick Vieira and Scott Parker.

He does seem the better fit as well for the club as he’s proven that he can get the side out of relegation as he’s done it twice with Norwich.

He even played as an exciting brand of football that certainly he can bring to Elland Road and thrill the Leeds faithful.

They have been accustomed to a certain brand of football under Marcelo Bielsa and while it was not the same under

Javi Gracia or Sam Allardyce, they still had the expectations of playing at a high tempo

The prerogative will be to get Leeds out of the Championship and then he can have the tools to build on from there.

In other Leeds United news, the club have been handed a boost to sign a Manchester United player this summer with Erik ten Hag likely to sanction his exit.
