Andoni Iraola shares ‘make the difference’ verdict on Leeds United loanee Luis Sinisterra
Andoni Iraola expects Luis Sinisterra to “make the difference” at Bournemouth after joining on loan from Leeds United.
The 24-year-old Colombian international has joined the Premier League club on a temporary deal for the remainder of the season.
Bournemouth winger Jaidon Anthony has moved to Elland Road on loan as part of the deal, as per the official Leeds website (1 September).

“It is a situation that happened on the last day of the window,” Iraola told the Daily Echo. “The club thought that we could be stronger adding a player like Luis Sinisterra.
“He was on Saturday (at Brentford) watching the game. Now he is going with the national team, so we will not have him for the next 10 to 12 days.
“But it is another player we have who can make the difference, starting from wide. It is a good addition for us.”

Second chance
Due to various injuries, Sinisterra wasn’t given many opportunities to prove himself in the Premier League last season.
The 24-year-old, who joined the Whites from Dutch side Feyenoord in 2022, was limited to just 19 top-flight appearances last time out.
Leeds were, of course, relegated to the Championship, but Colombian attacker Sinisterra has now landed on his feet with a second chance in the Premier League.
Leeds will certainly miss a player who registered seven goals in all competitions last season, particularly given their struggles so far under Daniel Farke, which include, but are not limited to, a lack of goals and a lengthy injury list.
But there is good news from the deal involving Sinisterra moving to Bournemouth, with the Whites bringing in a talented player in Anthony.
He should help the club climb the Championship table in the coming months thanks to his experience in the competition and in the Premier League.
