American media react to Brenden Aaronson after what Leeds United star has done

Leeds United star Brenden Aaronson has received mixed reviews for his cameo appearance for the USA in a friendly draw against Brazil overnight.

The attacking midfielder came on with just 15 minutes to go and was able to have a positive impact as he almost scored past Alisson.

The Liverpool keeper was able to keep the scores level but CBS Sports praised the 23-year-old (13 June) for his showing as a substitute.

They said: “Almost had a winner in the match but was denied by Alisson from close range. Just the kind of performance that you want coming off the bench.”

By contrast, GOAL.com suggested (13 June) that although he was “decent enough” at times he “Struggled with the physicality of Brazil” which let him down somewhat.
