Ally McCoist shares Leeds United relegation verdict live on talkSPORT after ‘unbelievable’ update in last 24 hours
Ally McCoist has shared a fresh Leeds United relegation prediction after the “unbelievable” Premier League results on Monday evening (8 May).
The Whites were dealt a double sucker-punch in their fight for survival, with Everton claiming a huge 5-1 victory over Brighton and Nottingham Forest edging out Southampton in a seven-goal thriller.
The pair of results left Leeds United 19th in the Premier League, only behind Leicester City on goal difference, but two points off the Toffees and three behind Steve Cooper’s side.

Speaking live on talkSPORT Breakfast (Tuesday, 9 May, 6:23am), McCoist issued a worrying verdict for Sam Allarydce’s side, who face Newcastle at Elland Road this weekend (13 May).
“It’s just unbelievable,” he said on the implications of Monday night’s results.
“You’ve got to feel that both Leeds United and Southampton are away now.”

Toughest task yet
Allardyce might not have known what he was getting himself into with Leeds United.
With just four games of the season remaining, and one of these against the invincible-looking Manchester City, it was always going to be a tough ask for the 68-year-old to come in and reverse fortunes at Elland Road.
However, this task was made even harder by Monday night’s result, and the Whites may now need to pick up a minimum of four or five points from their remaining three games of the season.
With a home tie against Newcastle and a final day of the season clash against Spurs waiting, things aren’t set to get any easier for Leeds.
Things couldn’t have gone much worse for Allardyce in the last 24 hours, but he must now knuckle down and focus on sealing their own fate with their own performances.
Leeds need to take it one match at a time, and hopefully, they will somehow end the season above the dotted line.
