Ally McCoist in hysterics after what Eddie Gray said about Leeds United tickets

Ally McCoist was in hysterics after Eddie Gray admitted his troubles with trying to get tickets to Leeds United games this season.

According to Football Ground Guide, the Whites’ clash against Derby County on Saturday 7 December saw Elland Road filled by 96 per cent, with only Portsmouth versus Bristol City boasting a higher percentage.

This has been a continuous trend throughout the last two seasons, even despite the club dropping down to the Championship, and the team is currently feeling the love from the fanbase.

Speaking live via talkSPORT [11 December, 7:52am], Gray said: “You can’t get tickets at Elland Road! There’s a big, big waiting list for a season ticket at Elland Road.

“Even I find it hard to get tickets and I’ve got a big family,” which McCoist began chuckling at before Gray continued: “I’ve got to be honest, it’s like gold dust.”

Elland Road ticketing issues emerge in stellar Leeds United season

With Leeds once again aiming to secure promotion back to the Premier League, it is easy to understand why Elland Road is continuing to sell out each week.

Daniel Farke’s side have jumped to the top of the Championship table, albeit Sheffield United have one game in hand, claiming 41 points from their first 20 games of the campaign.

While losses to Millwall and Blackburn Rovers have been somewhat of a disappointment, they have not thrown a spanner in the works at Elland Road, with the side still rising to the top of the table.

Of course, with 26 matches remaining, there is still much of the campaign left to play and the Championship is certain to throw up some curveballs, but the Whites are in a brilliant position.

Sadly, many fans will not be able to witness every game like Gray has spoken about above but they will still be able to enjoy watching their team thrive in the second division and, hopefully, get back to the Premier League again.
