Allardyce makes Leeds United feelings clear with honest admission on supporters
Leeds United are the only major blotch on Sam Allardyce’s CV after he suffered relegation with them in 2023.
Prior to his stint with the Yorkshire club, the 70-year-old had never been relegated in his career.
Big Sam has not been in management since leaving Elland Road as the club embarks on a return to the Premier League.

Allardyce namedrops best supporters in England
Allardyce’s name was always synonymous with survival – or at least it was prior to his Elland Road stint.
Although Allardyce did not implement the most glamorous style of play, he simply knew how to get the job done.
After making a name for himself with Bolton Wanderers, he went on to manage the likes of Everton, Newcastle United and West Ham.
Perhaps his greatest achievement in club football was keeping Sunderland afloat when they were destined to go down.
Games | Won | Drew | Lost | Points-per-match |
4 | 0 | 1 | 3 | 0.25 |
That led to him becoming England manager, where he managed just one game before controversially leaving.
Still, he is the only England manager to have a 100-per-cent record on his CV.
While talking to a group of children, Big Sam answered a question about the most passionate fans on Tag Sport’s TikTok channel (18 May).
He said: “Most passionate fans? Oof.
“I’d say all fans are passionate, but Newcastle, Everton, West Ham, because they’ve got the biggest support, so when they’ve got the biggest support, they’ve got the biggest or loudest noise.”
Leeds United will challenge best support in Premier League
Perhaps Allardyce’s short spell at Elland Road is the reason for omitting Leeds, or maybe it is because they were relegation-bound.
Whatever the reason, the Yorkshire club will certainly be making a noise next season.
Leeds possess a strong and passionate fanbase, and they have followed their beloved team in numbers this campaign.
With their promotion confirmed, getting an Elland Road ticket will be no easy task.
The capacity of Leeds’ stadium is 37,792, but that is due to increase with plans for an expansion confirmed.
It is believed that Elland Road will hold more than 50,000 once work has finished.
The return of Leeds to the Premier League will see a large and loyal fanbase grace the promised land once more.
