Mark Lawrenson has predicted that Leeds United will pick up a single point from their Premier League clash with Everton on Saturday.
The BBC pundit has predicted that it will finish 1-1 at Goodison Park, in what looks like a tough clash on paper for the Whites.
Leeds go into the game on the back of that disappointing draw with Arsenal, something they will look to better in Merseyside.
Lawrenson claimed that Everton’s defence struggled against Fulham and that it won’t get any easier against an “all or nothing” Leeds side.
“Leeds are probably still wondering how they didn’t beat Arsenal on Sunday – and so am I,” he wrote in his BBC predictions column.
“Marcelo Bielsa’s side will be just as attack-minded here because they just don’t change, home or away. They approach every game like it is Custer’s Last Stand, and it is all or nothing for them.
“Everton got the win they needed at Craven Cottage last weekend but they were hanging on a bit at the end, and I didn’t see anything that makes me think they will keep Leeds out.”
Marcelo Bielsa will be desperate to put an end to this run of games without a win, and with a tough trip to Chelsea next week, it would be great to get it this weekend.
Everton did win against Fulham, but they looked very poor in the second half at Craven Cottage and were lucky to take all three points.
Fulham managed to have five more shots, keep more possession and completed more dribbles according to WhoScored.
You may get away with that against the Cottagers, but Bielsa has this Leeds side more prepared and in those sort of positions they look to take advantage.
A draw wouldn’t be the worst result, but the Whites will be putting everything into this to come away with three points once again.
