Leeds United attacker Ian Poveda has posted an encouraging update on his Instagram after being subbed off in the U23s game yesterday.
Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth relayed news of the 20-year-old’s injury as he explained on Twitter that he had to be helped off the field.
However, the attacker has posted an update to his Instagram story which sheds some light on his current condition following his fresh knock.
Poveda posted a picture of his legs with the comment ‘all good no worries’ which at first glance looks positive.
However, there are a pair of crutches in the bottom left of his picture which doesn’t bode well for the 20-year-old.
We all hope his injury isn’t too serious but it is easy to worry when crutches and other medical equipment are aiding Poveda’s recovery.
Poveda has made 10 Premier League appearances for the Whites this season but he is yet to have any real impact.
He has no goals or assists to his name yet but it is easy to see that he has buckets of quality and bags of potential.
Hopefully, this injury doesn’t halt his development for long as we are all looking forward to seeing how this young attacker can continue to grow over the rest of the season.
Injuries are starting to mount up for Leeds with Patrick Bamford and Raphinha carrying knocks and Rodrigo almost certain to miss this week’s game against Everton.
We wish Poveda a speedy recovery.
